2 Women Accused Of Running Brothel In Upper Darby
UPPER DARBY (AP) - Prostitution charges have been filed against two women who police say ran a brothel at one of the women's homes while her child was at school.
Authorities in the Philadelphia suburb of Drexel Hill say the homeowner, 41-year-old Margaret Danielle Dougherty, and 38-year-old Amy Prudish of Riegelsville were arrested Tuesday on prostitution and related offenses.
Police also confiscated guns, cell phones, a computer and log books filled with names, dates and phone numbers.
Upper Darby police Superintendent Michael Chitwood said undercover officers posing as customers were offered sex in exchange for "a generous tip."
Dougherty was being held on $50,000 and Prudish was held on $20,000 bail. They could not immediately be reached for comment.
