2 Philadelphia Police Officers Injured After Collision
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Two Philadelphia police officers are recovering after their SUV was broad sided at 68th Street and Woodland Avenue Sunday morning.
Authorities say the oncoming vehicle was traveling fast and ran a red light when the impact occurred. The collision sent the police SUV crashing into a nearby fence causing Officer Antoinette Bethel to suffer a fractured leg and jaw and Officer David Barbour to sustain a concussion.
Both were taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Police say the suspects fled the scene. So far no arrests have been made.
