2 Injured In Violent Roosevelt Boulevard Crash

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Two people were injured after a car overturned following an accident in Northeast Philadelphia Wednesday morning.

The accident happened shortly after 9 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the Roosevelt Boulevard at Comly Road.

According to investigators, a car and a tanker trailer were involved in the crash. The car overturned and ended up on its roof.

Authorities say two people were injured; one was taken to Nazareth Hospital and the other was taken to Aria Health's Torresdale Hospital. The condition of the victims was not immediately known.

The exact cause of the accident remains under investigation.
