2 Hurt After Crash On Atlantic City Expressway
WINSLOW TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) — Two people were taken to hospitals after a car crashed into a public utility vehicle on the Atlantic City Expressway.
State police say the crash occurred around 5 a.m. Sunday in the westbound lanes near milemarker 39.7 in Winslow Township.
The car struck a South Jersey Transportation Authority truck, sending the truck off the roadway and into the center median, where it hit a tree. The car, driven by 35-year-old Arsean Cannon of Havertown, Pennsylvania, ended up on the highway's shoulder.
Cannon suffered serious head and neck injuries and was hospitalized in stable condition.
An authority worker, Judy McErlaine of Deptford, was taken to a hospital for treatment of leg pain. But further details on her condition were not immediately disclosed.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
