2 Charged In Murder Of Man, 52, In Southwest Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police have arrested two people in connection with a murder in Southwest Philadelphia in late May.
It happened in the 7100 block of Elmwood Avenue on May 31st just before 5 p.m.
Police say 52-year-old Aaron Hayes Sr., who lived in that block, was found in the street with a gunshot wound to the head. He was rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he died a couple hours later.
On July 19th, police arrested 56-year-old Desiree Hicks, who also lived on Elmwood Avenue. She is charged with murder and related offenses.
On Thursday, authorities arrested the second suspect in connection with the case. Thirty-eight-year-old Miguel Gonzalez, of the 2500 block of Lee Street, was taken into custody by the FBI Fugitive Task Force in Honduras.
Gonzalez was transported back to Philadelphia and turned over to city police.
He is charged with murder, criminal conspiracy, weapons violations and other crimes.
