2-Car Crash On Pennsylvania Turnpike Snarls Traffic, Injures 2
WHITEMARSH TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) – A two-car crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Montgomery Friday afternoon snarled traffic and injured two people.
The accident happened shortly before 2 p.m. in the westbound lanes of the Turnpike near the Fort Washington exit.
Chopper 3 HD was over the scene where it showed two cars involved in the crash. One of the cars flipped over while the second car suffered damage to the left drivers side.
There were reports of at least one person trapped and firefighters were seen using the Jaws of Life on one of the cars. One person was transported to Abington Hospital and one to Montgomery County. There is no word on their condition.
Traffic was backed up for miles after the accident, but as of 4 p.m., the PA Turnpike was reopened.
