2 Attempted Burglaries In 1 Week At East Goshen Township Wawa

GOSHEN TWP., Pa. (CBS) - Two suspects attempted to rob a Wawa Food Market, located at 1594 Paoli Pike in East Goshen Township, on Monday. This comes just one day after police say someone tried to enter the store through the roof.

At about 4:45 a.m. on Monday, an employee found three areas on the outside concrete wall that had been penetrated in an attempt to get into the store.

According to police, two people approached the Wawa at about 12:30 a.m. with electronic tools that were used to penetrate the concrete wall; however, the suspects were unable to get inside because of barriers inside the store.

Police say the surveillance video shows the suspects trying to enter the store for over an hour.

The first suspect was described as a Hispanic or a black male in his 20's with a light complexion. He was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, white sneakers and gloves.

The second suspect was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. This suspect acted as the lookout while the first suspect used the electronic tools.

Authorities say this store was also targeted on Sunday, when someone tried to enter the store through the roof.

The Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department reports that they are working with the Lower Merion Police Department, which handled a similar crime with a Wawa on Conshohocken State Road.
