2 Arrested, Woman Sought In Phoenixville Murder, Robbery
PHOENIXVILLE, Pa. (AP) -- Police have charged two people with killing a Guatemalan immigrant for his backpack in suburban Philadelphia.
Phoenixville police say they're still seeking a third person in last week's killing of 22-year-old Selvin Mamerto Lopez-Mauricio.
Investigators say 20-year-old Saleem Williams and 23-year-old Stephen Reidler accosted Lopez-Mauricio early on September 14. Chief William Mossman said Lopez-Mauricio was fatally shot after resisting an attempt to steal his backpack.
Williams and Reidler are in custody. Police say they're looking for an 18-year-old woman they say was implicated by the suspects.
It was not clear if either man had an attorney.
