2 Arrested For Kidnapping Woman In Bucks County
BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) - Bensalem Township Police have arrested and charged two men with kidnapping a woman.
A little after 1 a.m. on Monday, police responded to reports of an abduction near Hollandale Road and Fredonia Place. Upon arrival, police located the reported vehicle and found an unharmed 21-year-old female inside, in addition to an AR-15, a black mask and an army helmet.
Authorities arrested 22-year-old Corey Todd and 23-year-old Vincent Burton, both of Bensalem.
The investigation revealed the unidentified victim was contacted over the phone and asked to provide a contact to buy drugs, police say. A short while later, the suspects tracked down the victim, who was walking along Station Avenue off Route 13.
According to police, Todd forced the victim into the vehicle. While driving to the location, the victim said she was able to text her boyfriend who in turn called the police.
It is not known at this time why the suspects kidnapped the victim, but police believe the suspects were possibly going to rob the drug dealer or harm the victim.
Both suspects were arraigned and sent to prison. They are charged with kidnapping, unlawful restraint, and possession of an AR-15.
