18 People Displaced After Fire In Atlantic City

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) — Eighteen people have been displaced by a fire at an Atlantic City apartment building.

Fire officials say the blaze started in a front bedroom on the third floor of the 3.5-story building around 8:40 a.m. Saturday. The cause was not immediately known, but officials say the fire is not considered suspicious.

No injuries were reported, and firefighters had the fire under control in about 35 minutes. The fire caused some smoke and water damage to several units, and it's not clear when residents will be allowed to return to their units.
