Teen Critical, Toddler Hospitalized In Kensington Shooting
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A 23-month-old boy was rushed to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children after a bullet tore through his shoulder.
His 17-year-old uncle is listed in critical condition after he was shot in the face.
In broad daylight police say three men walked up to this lot where several people were hanging out and the men started shooting.
The baby, who turns two in two weeks, was being held by his grandmother when a bullet hit his right shoulder.
"It went through his chest, and it came out his left (shoulder). Thank God it didn't harm anything in his chest. He broke his collarbone," said the little boy's mother who did not want to be identified.
After opening fire on the crowd, the gunmen took off.

Philadelphia Police Captain Tom Davidson says there were, "Three males in dark-colored clothing, in a dark green, possibly black-colored Honda Odyssey."
The motive behind the shooting isn't clear, but neighbors near the 2100 block of East Orleans Street in Kensington tell me there has been a lot of gunfire in the area recently.
"This is really ridiculous. It's not even the summer yet and these people are getting shot out here. This is crazy I don't want anybody else to have their child out here. We are scared to come out at all," the boy's mother said.
Eyewitnesses were able to get a partial plate on the dark colored Honda. It has Pennsylvania tags and the last four digits are 1194.
The 23-month-old is now breathing on his own. His mom says he should be able to pull through.
She is urging anyone who knows who the shooters are to contact police immediately.
