WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS) - Twelve pairs of twins and a set of triplets made up this year's 2012 graduating class in Washington Township, New Jersey.
Many say it may be a coincidence, but identical twins Carly and Caitlyn Gallagher have their theories.
"It's pretty crazy, definitely something in the water that year," said Carly.
"Yeah, definitely something in the water," added Caitlyn.
As they crossed the stage to accept their diplomas, the numbers were hard to ignore. The twins and triplets are 27 students in a graduating class of 666 on the 13th of June.
"I'm not at all superstitious. It's not Friday, so it's okay," said Carly Gallagher.
They are still finishing each other's sentences and sharing birthdays, so to share graduation only seems natural.
"It's pretty awesome, my mom's happy she gets to be with all of us today," one of the triplets Dave Cariln said.
"It's like graduating with best friends," said his sister Sarah.
While some will be parting ways for the first time after graduation, the Carlin triplets have decided to all go to college together.
"You always have your brother or sister, that one familiar face," said Brian Carlin.
In a quiet moment at the graduation ceremony, the seniors released balloons for two classmates who died before graduation.
