Police: 11-Year-Old Breaks Away From Potential Kidnapper In Ocean County
BEACHWOOD, N.J. (CBS) - Beachwood Police have released a sketch of a man they say tried to kidnap an 11-year-old in Ocean County.
The incident happened at about 2:20 p.m. at Cable Avenue and Pine Street on Thursday afternoon in Beachwood.
According to police, the boy reported that he was walking home from Toms River Intermediate School South when he was approached by an unknown male. The male stopped and exited his vehicle, grabbing the child's arm.
The child broke free, ran, and called 911.
The actor is described as a tall, thin male in his forties. He is approximately 6-foot tall, with a bald head, clean shaven, wearing a white t-shirt and black leather jacket.
The vehicle is described as a 4-door black Audi, a newer model, bearing yellow New Jersey registration.
The vehicle left the area in an unknown direction.
