$10,000 Reward Offered in Juniata Park Attacks on Girls
By Tony Hanson
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia authorities have now posted a reward as they try to identify and arrest the armed man believed responsible for three attacks targeting young women in Juniata Park over the past week.
"The city is offering a $10,000 reward," says Philadelphia police lieutenant John Stanford.
One woman, the first known victim, was sexually assaulted. Two others managed to break free and run to safety. The latest victim, a 15-year-old girl, was targeted on her way to school this Tuesday morning.
"We have to get this guy off the street before he commits another act," says Lt. Stanford. "It's very important for the public to help us in this."
There is a police sketch of the assailant, and video of one of the incidents.
Jimmy Lopez, who lives in the area and has young daughters, says, "I'm looking around too, because I looked at the sketch they did, and I hope this guy gets caught quick."
And police hope the reward will help.
