1,000 Foot Slip-And-Slide Coming To Philly This Summer
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Slip-and-slide lovers, this is not a drill.
A 1,000 foot slip-and-slide is coming to Philadelphia this August.
Slide the City is bringing the slide, which is over the size of THREE football fields, to Sedgley Way and Poplar Drive, near the Art Museum, on August 6.
According to Slide the City, the event is, "A family friendly slip-and-slide water party event. There will be live music, food, drinks, water, and of course the biggest slip and slide ever to hit asphalt."
"Don't worry, we've got it padded. This slide's got more cushion than your grandpa's orthopedic sneakers."
To ride the slide, riders must be five-years-old and over 46 inches tall. Also, all minors must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
You can slide up for your slide online beginning next Wednesday.
