1 Student, 3 Others Charged In Pennsylvania School Threats
ELLWOOD CITY, Pa. (AP) -- A sophomore whose Facebook status post was "Feel Like Murdering Someone" and three others who allegedly chatted about how to attack a western Pennsylvania high school with chain saws, hatchets and explosives have been charged with conspiracy, making bomb threats and other charges.
Police are not identifying the 16-year-old Lincoln High School student who allegedly made the initial post and is being charged in Lawrence County Juvenile Court.
Online court records don't list attorneys for others who alleged joined in the social networking discussion and are charged as adults: 21-year-old Christopher Vankirk and 20-year-old Kasey Kimmel, both of Ellwood City, and 18-year-old Nicholas Martinkovich, of West Sunbury.
School Superintendent Frank Aloi says official have no choice but to treat such threats as credible, even though he felt it wasn't likely the threats would be realized.
