1 Person Killed, Another Injured In Feltonville Fire
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A house fire in Feltonville claimed the life of an elderly person on Saturday afternoon, making this the fifth fire fatality in Philadelphia this year, according to authorities.
Crews were called out to a home in the 200 block of East Roosevelt Boulevard at about 3 p.m. Authorities say at the time of the fire, four people were in the home which only had one working fire alarm (SEE PHOTOS).
A 57-year-old male was transported to an area hospital with burns to his head and face but is in stable condition. The identity of the person killed in the fire has not yet been released.
The Red Cross is assisting two adults and one child with food and clothing they lost in the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
