1 Killed In Single-Car Crash On I-295 In Burlington County

MT. LAUREL, N.J. (CBS) – One person was killed and a second was hospitalized after a single-car crash in Burlington County early Tuesday morning.
The deadly crash happened at about 2 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-295 near the exit for Rancocas Woods in Mt. Laurel.
According to investigators, the driver was traveling in the southbound lanes when they somehow lost control and struck a median.
Authorities say one of the occupants was ejected from the car. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other was taken to Cooper University Hospital in an unknown condition.
Several lanes of I-295 were closed as authorities investigated the deadly crash, but they have since reopened.
The deadly crash remains under police investigation.
