1 Killed, 2 Injured In Violent Upper Darby Crash

UPPER DARBY, Pa. (CBS) -- One person was killed and two others were injured in a violent one-car crash in Delaware County early Wednesday morning.
The accident happened at about 3 a.m. on Market Street near 63rd Street in Upper Darby.
According to investigators, the car somehow lost control and crashed into a pillar for the SEPTA El train.
Police say one person was pronounced dead at the scene. A second person was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in serious condition. A third passenger only suffered minor injuries.
The impact of the crash sent the car's engine flying into a nearby field.
The identity of the victims was not immediately released by police.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
