Several Hospitalized In Memorial Day Shootings In Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia Police are investigating shootings that sent several people to the hospital on Memorial Day.
Police say an 18-year-old man was hospitalized after a shooting in Frankford Monday afternoon.
The incident happened at about 3:28 p.m. at Oakland and Sellers Streets.
Police say the victim was shot once in the abdomen. He was taken to Temple University Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
There are no arrests at this time.
At about 4:15 p.m., police say a 30-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint by a suspect on the 300 block of Cambria Street in Kensington.
The victim suffered a graze wound to the abdomen and was rushed to Temple University Episcopal Hospital. He was then taken to Temple University Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
There are no arrests at this time.
In West Philadelphia, police say a 52-year-old man was shot once in the abdomen while sitting inside of a vehicle at Wyalusing and Lancaster Avenues.
He was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He is listed in critical condition.
There is no word on suspects or arrests in this incident.
Eyewitness News is told two people were hospitalized following a shooting in Fairmount.
The incident happened at about 10 p.m. near the 1700 block of Wylie Street.
Eyewitness News is told one victim was shot in the arm and the second victim was shot in the head.
The two victims were rushed to the hospital by police. Their conditions are unknown at this time.
Police are currently on scene investigating.
