1 Dead, Major Delays Following Crash On I-495 In New Castle, Del.
NEW CASTLE, Del., (CBS) – One person is dead following a multi-vehicle accident on I-495 in Delaware on Tuesday.
The accident happened at about 3:30 p.m. on I-495 southbound at Edgemoor Road.
Chopper 3 HD was over the scene as Delaware State Police responded to the crash.
The victim's identity has not been released at this time. There is no word on additional injuries.
State Police say traffic is being impacted in both directions of I-495.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area.
