1 Dead, Another In Critical Condition After South Philadelphia Shooting
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - One man is dead while another is in critical condition after a shootout in Philadelphia's Point Breeze section Sunday afternoon, police say.
At about 3:30 p.m. police responded to reports of shots fired in the 1500 block of S. Garnett Street. According to police, one of the male victims received up to 20 gunshot wounds and was transported to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in critical condition.
Police say a second victim with several gunshot wounds was taken to the University of Pennsylvania hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
No arrests have been made at this time. Homicide detectives continue to investigate this case.
