1 Dead After Car Slams Into Tree Along Roosevelt Boulevard
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- One person is dead and another was injured after a car slammed into a tree along Roosevelt Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia.
It happened around 2 a.m. Saturday in the southbound outer lanes near Benner Street.
Police say the driver lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree.
Authorities say a 21-year-old female passenger was killed in the crash.
The driver, 22, was taken to the hospital with a leg injury.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
