1 Dead, 1 Wounded In Separate Trenton Shootings
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Trenton police say one person was killed and another wounded in separate shootings that occurred within a 30-minute span this weekend.
It doesn't appear that the two shootings are related, but authorities say their investigations are ongoing.
The first shooting occurred around 5 p.m. Saturday at the Roger Gardens Public Housing Complex. Authorities say several people were involved in a disturbance when someone pulled out a weapon and fired several shots at a man, who was pronounced dead a short time later.
The second shooting occurred around 5:35 p.m., when a vehicle drove by a group of people and stopped. One person left the car and approached the group, and people from both sides soon opened fire.
One person was shot in the foot and remains hospitalized in stable condition.
