1 Dead, 1 Injured In West Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Authorities say a man was shot to death and a woman was injured in a stabbing in separate episodes in west Philadelphia overnight.
Police say a 36-year-old man was shot in the head shortly after midnight Friday in the Parkside section of the city. He was pronounced dead by emergency responders minutes later.
Officers were called to a home in the Mantua section of the city shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday where they found that a 32-year-old woman had been stabbed multiple times in the legs. She was taken to the University of Pennsylvania hospital, where she was reported in stable condition.
Police have not announced any arrests in either case.
