DEPTFORD, N.J. (CBS) -- Since Deptford police officer Bobby Shisler died on May 7, months after he was shot in the line of duty, there has been an outpouring of community support.
Shisler is being remembered in a viewing and funeral at Rowan University Wednesday.
Here's what's happening today:
First, Shisler's body will be transported from Boucher Funeral Home to Rowan. That procession started around 7:30 this morning.
There was a public viewing from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Pfleeger Concert Hall on Rowan's campus in Glassboro, N.J.
After that, members of law enforcement paid their respects.
Religious services took place and a eulogy was delivered. Following that, there was a service outside.

For the first time, members of Officer Bobby Shisler's family spoke publicly about the death of their loved one.
"He gave light and strength when it seemed impossible to go on," Ashley Shisler, Officer Shisler's sister, said. "I will never deny the pain I carry, but I want us to remember him as both a blessing and a lesson."
