"Star Wars" star Lupita Nyong'o sparkles in futuristic Google dress
Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o looked like she was getting some extraterrestrial fashion tips from her character in the upcoming "Star Wars" film when she appeared on "The Daily Show with Trevor Noah" Wednesday night. The actress showed up wearing a dress that sparkled with flickering, brightly colored LED lights.
"Is this a 'Star Wars' thing, or just a fashion choice?" Noah asked.
"Well, I think I might have been attracted to it because of my experience in 'Star Wars,'" Nyong'o said. "This is a Zac Posen dress in collaboration with Google. They have this initiative called 'Made with Code' encouraging young girls to try to computer science by showing them how it merges with fashion."

The collaboration between Google and Posen was announced during New York's Fashion Week in September. The dress that Nyong'o wore was first modeled at Posen's runway show.
In a September blog post, Google wrote that light display embellishing the simple, classic black dress was coded by teen girls, and was the finale look during the designer's show.
Made with Code mentor and "fashion engineer" Maddy Maxey "coded and fabricated the LED technology" on the dress, working closely with Posen as he came up with the overall design.
Google wrote that the dress will "hopefully inspire young girls who have an interest in fashion to see what code can help them create."
