Work Resumes At Fort Collins Airport
FORT COLLINS, Colo. (CBS4)- Construction projects at the Fort Collins-Loveland airport have resumed. The airport cancelled the project after congress failed to reach an agreement on funding for the Federal Aviation Administration.
The 8,500 foot long main runway had been patched and re-patched over the past 20 years.
Coulson Excavating has resumed work now that the federal government promised to restore the long awaited $7 million in funding.
150 workers are on the project, which is expected to close the airport from Aug. 15 to Sept. 1.
