Be inspired by women in STEM! CBS Colorado, in partnership with Girls Inc. of Metro Denver and the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, is excited to present the 12th Annual Girls & Science. This year's program will run throughout the month of March and offer video presentations and activity kits for girls. Female mentors will share their personal experiences and encourage girls and their families to learn more about careers in STEM. Girls & Science is supported by Presenting Sponsor PING Identity, Xcel Energy, DaVita and Denver Health.

This year's Girls & Science kick-off event took place on March 6 at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science and drew thousands of girls and their families.

Meet the Mentors

Girls thINC Outside the Box Activity Kits

Families have the opportunity to go online to register for "Girls thINC Outside the Box" activity kits through Girls Inc. of Metro Denver. Girls who register for the GIRLS thINC Outside the Box activity kits have access to instructional videos and trained Girls Inc. educators to support their experience at home. Boxes are designed specifically for girls 6-10 years old. To learn more and register for your kit go to girlsincdenver.org/learning-year-round

Girls & Science Takeover of 2nd Saturday at CSU Spur

2nd Saturdays at CSU Spur are free and open to the public for lots of family-friendly programming, including cooking activities in the CSU Spur kitchen, opportunities to watch veterinarians perform surgery on dogs and cats, see horses assisting with human therapies, engage with scientists at work, and play in a kid's kitchen and kid's vet clinic - allowing kids to become a veterinarian for the day and fix up stuffed animals.
