Woman Sentenced To Prison In Denver Baby's Death
DENVER (AP) — A woman accused of wrapping a baby in a blanket and putting him in a closet with his face covered to muffle his crying has been sentenced to four years in prison in his death, with credit for time served.
Frances Garcia was sentenced Thursday in the death of 10-month-old Adam Gonzales last year. She had pleaded guilty to child abuse negligently causing death.
The child's mother, Amanda Lujan, has pleaded guilty to accessory to child abuse resulting in death. She is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 6.
