Wild Horse Fire Burning On Fort Carson Army Post Grows Overnight
EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- The Wild Horse Fire burning in a training area of Fort Carson grew overnight. The wildfire has burned 670 acres, up from 580 acres as of late Monday afternoon.
The fire is burning near Gate 6 of the Fort Carson Army Post. Containment remains at 10%. All evacuations on the west side of Highway 115 have been lifted. Crews expect the highway to remain open.
Fort Carson covers 140,000 acres.
