Water Main Break Repair Under Way On Colfax
DENVER (CBS4)- Repairs are underway on an 8-inch water main on Colfax Avenue at Garfield Street. Denver Water crews began the repairs at 3 p.m. Thursday. Those repairs are expected to last until 11 p.m.
Colfax will be open in one lane in each direction between Madison and Harrison streets while repairs are completed.
Water service to customers will not be affected, however, the evening commute is expected to be especially congested through that area of Colfax.
The water main was installed in 1895. It is not known if the cold weather contributed to the water main break.
