University Of Colorado Police Department Signs Pledge To Hire More Female Officers
BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4)- The University of Colorado Boulder Police Department is above average for hiring female officers. Now, they're paving the way for other schools to do the same.
Women make up 15% of CUPD. Earlier this year, CUPD's chief signed a pledge committing to increase that percentage to 30% by 2030.
She urged other PAC-12 police departments to do the same. Since then, all PAC-12 universities with permanent police chiefs have signed the 30 by 30 pledge.
