U.S. Honor Flag To Visit Colorado A Record 5th Time In Under A Year

DENVER (CBS4) - Colorado now has the sad distinction to have the United States Honor Flag visit the most times in in under a year following the death of a deputy on Wednesday.

The U.S. Honor Flag serves as a tribute to memorialize the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for their family, community and country. It's managed by the Honor Network, a nonprofit organization.

"In the history of the U.S. Honor Flag, no other state has ever had the U.S. Honor Flag so many times as Colorado in such a short period. It returns for the fifth time in under a year. Without hesitation I'll make the trip again," U.S. Honor Flag founder Chris Heisler said in a statement.

The Colorado State Police will coordinate the U.S. Honor Flag's movements in the state.
