Truck Crashes Into Playground
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- Copter4 flew over the scene of an accident that showed a truck that had crashed into a playground at about 4 p.m. Friday.
A landscaping truck had crashed into playground equipment that included a slide. The crash happened at 3505 S. Nelson Circle in Jefferson County, near the intersection of Kipling and Hampden.
"And then I heard a big crash and screaming after that. I just heard one guy screaming for help," said witness Peggy Gibson.
Investigators said the pickup hit two people, both adults. One was pinned under the truck and flown to a hospital. The other victim was seriously hurt. No children were involved.
The driver was treated and released.
Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies are investigating whether excessive speed was a factor in the crash.
