Tourism Leaders Celebrate Beginning Of Summer Travel Season At Capitol
DENVER (CBS4) - Colorado's summer travel season officially kicked off on Tuesday and tourism leaders celebrated the occasion at the state Capitol.
Mascots, including Dinger from the Colorado Rockies and Bernie from the Colorado Avalanche were on hand.
The Colorado Tourism Office says they are expecting an excellent season for tourism in the state.
"We've got more beautiful riparian areas, both whitewater and flat water; great fishing, hiking, camping," Al White with the Colorado Tourism Office said. "You name it, Colorado has got it."
The tourism office is hoping a new campaign called "Come to Life" helps draw more vacationers to Colorado.
