Tom Nalen Elected To Broncos Ring Of Fame
DENVER (AP/CBS4) - Former Broncos center Tom Nalen, who played 14 seasons in Denver, was elected to the team's Ring of Fame.
Nalen was a three-time All-Pro and five-time Pro Bowler before bad knees ended his career in 2007.
He also played for the team during the Broncos' back-to-back Super Bowl wins.
Nalen will be honored at halftime of the Broncos' Sept. 29 game against Philadelphia.
"My kids know what I did, but this gives them some sort of tangible evidence that Daddy did his job well, and was honored for it," said Nalen on Thursday during a news conference. "I think it's pretty cool. I've got it in my back pocket, 'Daddy's name's going to be on the stadium, so do your [darn] homework.' "
Nalen currently works in sports radio in Denver and appears frequently on CBS4 to offer commentary about the Broncos.
