Toddler Pulled From Creek In Steamboat Springs

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - A toddler is in the hospital after falling into a creek in Steamboat Springs.

The incident happened on Butcherknife Creek in downtown Steamboat Springs just before 11 a.m. Saturday.

The 15-month-old child walked into the creek and was found by the grandfather. The child was rushed to the Yampa Valley Medical Center.

Although there is high water in the area, Butcherknife Creek is only about 18 inches deep.

On Sunday afternoon the child was still in critical condition.
