Syrian Americans Protest At The State Capitol
DENVER (CBS4) - Syrian Americans protested the violence in their home country at the state Capitol Sunday afternoon.
The protesters are calling for the removal of Syrian president Bashar Al-Assad.
Syria is on the brink of civil war. Sporadic gun battles between revolutionary forces and government troops are being reported every few hours.
The Syrian uprising began in March with increased anti-government protests. Syrian Americans say their country has largely been ignored because it doesn't have the same natural resources as other Muslim countries.
