SUV Plows Into Liquor Store, Nearly Kills Manager

GLENDALE, Colo. (CBS4) - It was a close call for a manager at a Glendale liquor store.

Saturday afternoon a woman drove her SUV right into the store at the Cherry Plaza Center.

Firefighters said Paula Hart, 46, told them she accidentally scraped another car in the parking lot and then got her foot stuck on the accelerator. The manager inside was nearly killed.

"The store owner was at the cash register at the time of the impact and so I would say that the vehicle missed the store owner by two to three feet," Michael Taylor with Denver fire said.

Hart was not hurt but was cited for careless driving.
