Wadsworth In Lakewood Reopened After Bomb Squad Investigation
LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4)- A portion of Wadsworth in Lakewood has reopened after the JeffCo Bomb Squad investigated a suspicious device.
Officers were called to the intersection of Wadsworth and Florida at 11 a.m. Wednesday on reports of a two-liter bottle of what appears to filled with dry ice.
The JeffCo Bomb Squad was called to check out the bottle.
Wadsworth had been closed in both directions between Jewell and Mississippi during the investigation. It reopened about 12:15 p.m. when it was determined the suspicious device was an old propane canister that was leaking.
The propane container was removed and Wadsworth reopened.
