Suspected Bank Robbers Arrested In Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Colorado Springs have arrested two bank robbers. Gary Cyprian and Daryl Keener are suspected in eight violent robberies.

Those crimes began in December 2010 and continued through this week. Police believe the two men met in prison.

One suspect would enter the bank while the other would wait in a nearby getaway vehicle. Although no one was physically injured, police said the victims suffered significant psychological and emotional trauma.

Police said Keener, 30, and Cyprian, 28, were well armed for the crimes.

Officers found four semi-automatic weapons and hundreds of rounds of ammunition in a garage belonging to a relative of Keener.

Keener was convicted of bank robbery and weapons violations in 2003.
