Suspect Surrenders In 2 Colorado Springs Slayings

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) -- A suspect in the shooting deaths of two people in Colorado Springs has surrendered to police.

Authorities say 20-year-old Alonzo Paige turned himself in Thursday at police headquarters and was held on suspicion first-degree murder.

It wasn't immediately clear if he had a lawyer.

Police say Paige is a suspect in the Jan. 24 shooting deaths of 20-year-old Marquise Bean and 23-year-old Andrew Encalade.

Two other people were shot and wounded in the same incident. They were identified as Jareem Vanterpool and Adam Encalade.
