Stolen Puffer Car Leads Police On Chase
FORT LUPTON, Colo. (CBS4)- The driver of a stolen puffer car led several police agencies on a chase early Thursday morning.
Copter4 flew over the car at the end of the case in Fort Lupton.
A Platteville police officer spotted the stolen car and several other police agencies joined in to help catch the suspect.
The chase led police back to Fort Lupton where the driver crashed and ran away.
Police have not released a description of the suspect.
"Puffing" is illegal in most Denver metro area communities. Typically on cold mornings, drivers start the car and then leave it running, unlocked, with the keys inside, making it a perfect target for car thieves.
