State Patrol Uses 'Pit' Maneuver To Stop Suspected Drunk Driver
CLEAR CREEK COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - The Colorado State Patrol says officers had to intentionally run a man off the road to end a high speed chase.
The incident happened just after noon on Sunday. The suspected drunk driver eluded Denver police as he traveled west on Interstate 70.
Authorities say the driver struck a car near Evergreen and was driving nearly 90 miles per hour when state troopers performed what's called a pit maneuver to crash the vehicle while on U.S 40.
