Soldier Surprises Son At His Kindergarten Graduation
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - A kindergarten graduate in Colorado Springs didn't think his dad would be there to watch his classroom ceremony, but he got a nice surprise on Tuesday.
Sgt. Jacobs Russett had been deployed for the last year in Afghanistan but made it home in time to surprise his little graduate.
Gavin Russett's name was the last to be read during the ceremony. He had no idea his father would be there to hand it to him.
"I definitely was excited and I was glad to see this. This is a memory that I hope he'll have forever because I know I will," the sergeant said.
Russett is stationed at Fort Carson.
