Skier Died After Hitting Tree At Keystone
KEYSTONE, Colo. (CBS4)- A skier died after hitting a tree at Keystone Resort Friday.
It happened at about 1 p.m. The 23-year-old from the Denver metro area was skiing on the Spring Dipper trail when a witness reported he caught a ski edge and veered off the intermediate trail.
That's when the skier struck a tree. The skier was skiing with a friend.
Keystone Ski Patrol and St. Anthony's Flight for Life crew started life saving measures on the skier while he was rushed to Keystone Medical Center.
The skier died from multiple skull fractures. He was not wearing a helmet.
