Sexual Assault Suspect Arrested After Crashing Car
LAPORTE, Colo. (CBS4)- Deputies in Larimer County said a man wanted in a sexual assault was captured after he crashed his car driving away from the crime scene.
Investigators said Robert Davis attacked a woman at about 10:45 p.m. Wednesday at her home in the 3500 block of Rifle Court in Laporte. Davis allegedly threatened her with a gun.
Davis, 45, escaped before police arrived but he was arrested after he crashed his vehicle into a parked car.
Davis is facing eight charges including sexual assault, driving under the influence, reckless driving and domestic violence.
Davis remains in the Larimer County Jail.
