Robber Allegedly Douses Hotel Worker With Lighter Fluid
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - A Colorado Springs hotel worker says he thought he was going to die after a thief doused him with lighter fluid.
The incident happened Saturday morning at the Clarion Hotel on West Bijou just off Interstate 25.
The clerk says a man came in demanding cash and then soaked him with lighter fluid and threatened to set him on fire. Police said apparently the man's lighter didn't work and the clerk wasn't hurt.
The robber did grab cash out of the register and fled.
