Rangers Search Elevenmile Reservoir Where Body Found
LAKE GEORGE, Colo. (AP) - The search for another person believed missing in Elevenmile Reservoir is set to resume Wednesday, after the search was suspended by snow and rough water Tuesday afternoon.
The missing person is suspected to be former Colorado Springs mayoral candidate Mitch Christiansen, but authorities haven't said who they're looking for.
The body of his wife, 62-year-old Susan Christiansen, was found Sunday afternoon in the reservoir in Eleven Mile State Park. Authorities have said she had been fishing with her husband on the reservoir.
Rangers also searched the waters Monday.
State park spokeswoman Deb Frazier said the search is focused on the east end of the reservoir, which has large boulders and steep drop offs under water.
